2026 – 27 Competition Books
Book Blitz is a book competition involving all middle schools in the Canyons School District. It follows a similar format to the national Battle of the Books. Each middle school creates teams of students who share in the reading of the selected 20 titles. In the spring, the various teams of each school battle to determine which two teams will represent their middle school in the district Book Blitz battle held at the Canyons District building. The winning team receives fun prizes, a trophy, and the bragging rights to being the district team winner of Book Blitz.
To participate in Book Blitz, students attend monthly lunch meetings and are required to read at least 4 of the 20 books on the list. As a team, students will determine who will read which books. Students will be required to return a permission slip with parent signature acknowledging that they will commit for the year.
