We are excited to announce that the Scholastic Book Fair is back. In conjunction with the school musical, Newsies Jr., the book fair will be open before and during the intermission of the school play. We will also be open during the school day for students to shop as well. (See below for the Book Fair schedule.)
As we head into the holiday season, this is a great opportunity to get some great books and school knickknacks as stocking stuffers for your children. Your support in the Book Fair is important to the school library. If we sell over $3500 during the fair, we are able to take back some of the proceeds that are then used for reading incentive programs that the library puts on. These programs include free books to students, awards for the book character pumpkin decorating contest, the donut/hot chocolate party for reading bingo, Book March Madness prizes, a pizza party for participants of Book Blitz and Book Club, and various other reading incentive activities. We greatly appreciate any support you provide to our library and to helping our students become readers.
Book Fair Schedule:
- Thursday, December 1 at 6:30pm/Newsies intermission
- Friday, December 2 at 6:30pm/ Newsies intermission
- Saturday, December 3 – We will be open all day beginning at 1:30. We will be open after the matinee performance and before the evening performance. This will be a special time for all cast members and their family to come shop at the Book Fair. Last sale will be during intermission for the 7pm performance, not after the performance.
- Monday – Friday, Nov. 28 – Dec. 2 during the school day
**Please note that we will not be open in the evening of Wednesday, November 30 during the performance (only the school day).
