National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)
Student Ambassadors
Who are we?
National Junior Honors Society is a national organization of high achieving students. We represent the school as positive and thoughtful good-will citizens. NJHS works with staff, students, and the community to promote school spirit, create a positive atmosphere, and to be a role model for students at Union Middle School.
Opportunities
As members of NJHS students are able to gain leadership and volunteer experience at Union Middle School. Students also are eligible for national scholarships and grants for hosting different volunteer or charitable events.
Major Activities
NJHS is responsible for helping both Union Middle as well as the surrounding community. We volunteer during 6th grade orientation, parent teacher conferences, spirit activities, and other school related events. We are alt he group that hosts Unions annual food drive and sells Valengrams during Valentine’s Day.
Responsibilities
As members of NJHS students must promote respect for the school, plan and carryout student activities to promot school spirit, attend leadership meetings and trainings, and participate in various volunteer opportunities. Students must be examples to their peers in leadership, character, service and citizenship. Students must also main a 3.75 GPA and complete a total of 6 service hours per quarter.
The Union Middle School Student Ambassadors are a group of students who represent the school as positive and thought good-will citizens. They interact with all age groups and are responsible for creating a positive climate. The ambassadors work with staff, students, and community members to promote school spirit, and to provide honest and thoughtful information concerning issues affecting Union Middle School students. In all circumstances, Student Ambassadors are seen as positive role models and are constant reflections of Union Middle School family.
Reponsibilities
- Promote respect for the school
- Plan and carry out student activities to build school leadership meetings and trainings
- Leader that is kind, honest, enthusiastic, trustworhty, mature, hardworking, and able to work well with others
