Principal’s Message
Dear Union Middle School Families,
As we approach the holiday season, I want to take a moment to express heartfelt gratitude for your continued support and involvement in our school community. This time of year reminds us of the importance of connection, kindness, and the values we instill in our students daily.
We are thrilled to report that our amazing students have been making significant strides in getting to class on time. Arriving promptly not only sets a positive tone for their day but also shows respect for themselves and their peers.
We have also witnessed numerous instances where our students have demonstrated respect for others. Whether it be through helping a classmate, listening attentively, or showing appreciation for their teachers, these acts of kindness enrich our school culture and foster a supportive community.
As we move into the holiday break, we encourage you to take time to reflect on the values we uphold as a school family. Together, let’s continue to promote respect, responsibility, and kindness in our daily lives.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday season filled with joy, peace, and togetherness!
Warm regards,
Angi Holden
Principal
This Week:
Spirit Day – This Friday, 20th!
Wear your Ugly Christmas sweaters this Friday to show your school spirit!
Thank you Union Middle Community!
We had a great response from staff and families to our Amazon wish list for holiday support. Because of your huge hearts and generosity, we are able to hand out items that will help families meet basic needs this season. We are so grateful for our giving community.
Thank you Registered Physical Therapists
Every year for their holiday party, Registered Physical Therapists comes together to put food bags together for students at Midvale Middle.
This year they put enough food bags together to support Union Middle students as well. It was fun to see their enthusiasm to support our families.
Round of Applause for our Concert Choir
Union Middle Concert Choir students brought Christmas spirit to the Sandy City Winter Market this past Saturday. The did a great job representing our school!
Please remember:
When checking your student out early, please consider:
Our building is very big and it can take a few minutes for our office staff to retrieve your student. If you have to check your student out of school early, please consider allowing for an extra 10-15 minutes when possible. Avoiding check outs during the student’s lunch and after 2:30 pm when possible would also help the check out process run smoothly.
UMS Pantry is Open
Our pantry is stocked with shelf stable food. If you would like to visit our pantry to collect food items for your household, please contact Dinitri Jackson.

Union United, 4/24/25 – Save the Date
Union United is our Cultural Night where we celebrate all the different cultures that make up our school. We’d love to hear from more of our students and families this year. They can represent their culture through song, dance, creative writing, visual art, etc. We would also like to give space to families who are small business owners to table at the event. Contact Dinitri Jackson with any questions.
