November/December Library Reading Promotion:
Read on SORA and be invited to a donut/apple cider party before Christmas break. We will also raffle off some prizes. We will take 80 students total so the top 80 readers from SORA will be invited.
Darts
Parents please be aware, these darts are dangerous and have become a problem at school. If a student is caught with them, it is a $75 fine placed on their Skyward account. NO Warnings will be given.
Safety Concern
We’ve had reports from our community of students crossing 7800 S. unsafely. Please talk with your students about the importance of utilizing crosswalks when walking/biking to and from school. This is especially important in the mornings when it is dark and visibility is low. Our students safety is our priority. Please work with us to enforce the use of crosswalks surrounding our campus.
Halloween Highlights
Book Character Pumpkins
A huge thank you to all the students who participated in our annual Book Character Pumpkin competition organized by our librarian, Ms. Zhang. We had some really fun and creative pumpkins. It was almost impossible for our staff to vote on one favorite. Congratulations to our winners:
1st Place: Alice in Wonderland by Haylee Lutz
2nd Place: Pinocchio by Cameron Butler
3rd Place: A tie with Lady and the Tramp by McKinzlee Colungo and Pinkalicious by Isabela Mitchell
A huge thank you to our Student Ambassadors and Yearbook Crew for a fun Halloween Spirit Day. We had a fun photo booth where our students could pose in their creative costumes. Thank you to our students and families for making Halloween more fun than scary at school that day!
