The counselors will be presenting information to your 8th grade students on Tuesday, September 24th. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND that all parents view the same presentation. It can be accessed here (right click and select open in new tab)  8th grade CCRP Presentation

These appointments will be scheduled sometime between September 30  October-18th during the school day and on the nights of September 25th, October 9th and 15th from 4  7pm. We highly recommend parental attendance at the 8th grade CCRP. As the content is being presented in the classroom and available to parents via the linked presentation above, the time spent in meeting is intended to go over your questions and go into more depth in areas of student interest. In preparation for this meeting, please view the above linked presentation.

There is a survey included in the presentation that will gather information about the following:

  • Identification of first-generation college students
  • Any plans for after graduation from high school
  • Any plans for how to pay for any education after high school
  • Student’s approach to monitoring academic progress and any supports needed to be successful
  • What information your student wants to learn more about to be ready for high school

The packet your student will receive at the meeting is also attached to this email.  We look forward to meeting you and your student!

Sincerely,
