Parent Teacher Conferences – Tonight and Tomorrow

Conferences will be “open house” style so drop in and meet with your student’s teachers. 

• Today, September 21st: 4-8PM
• Tuesday, September 22nd: 4-7:30
• There will be a Flu Clinic on Monday from 4-7 in the Bobcat Den. 
• If you’d like support with ParentSquare, Skyward and/or canvas, Ms. Dinitri will be available near the Bobcat Den or in the office. 
• If you have a donation for the Bobcats Support Bobcats pantry donation drive, you can place it on the table outside the Bobcat Den.
  
  

Somos Linces – Community Dinner | Thursday 10/1, 6:00 – 7:30pm

Next week we will be hosting a dinner and a presentation on all things Union Middle School! We are bringing families together to enjoy dinner and connect with one another. During dinner we’ll have a presentation in Spanish covering the following topics. 

• Q/Skyward – We’ll check grades and attendance
• ParentSquare – We’ll check for updates and message staff
• Support Staff Roles – We’ll identify counselors, administration, and other support staff here to help students. 
• Ways to get involved – We’ll talk about volunteer opportunities and after school student groups.

September is Attendance Awareness Month

This month we’ll be promoting great attendance! Remember to be here every day and watch for the Golden 
Bobcat. There will be chances to win prizes throughout the month and give your team the chance to earn points toward Battle of the Bobcats.

UMS PTSA Updates

We would love your help in supporting our Union Students and Teachers! In Middle School this in done through PTSA. PTSA is “Parent-Teacher-Student-Association.” ANYONE (parents, students, grandparents, community members) can join. Why Join? Learn why here. 
The “S” in PTSA is STUDENT. Students can become members and participate in our PTSA Student Leadership Group. Learn more here

UMS Pantry and Weekend Food Bags

*If you are interested in additional food resources or access to the pantry for clothing and/or hygiene items please contact Dinitri directly.

Weekend food bags will go home every Friday. If you would like your student to bring home a bag, please remind them to grab one the night before or that morning. If you don’t want your student to pick up a bag, please tell them. We’re hoping explicit parent communication will reduce the amount of bags taken apart and left on campus. We will be passing them out in front of the auditorium and across from the gym for those who ride the bus.
