Teacher of the Year 2024

Union Middle fine arts teacher Brooke Grant “makes every class fun and her energy is always high.”  These are the words of a student who submitted a nomination for Grant for the Union Teacher of the Year award.  “She encourages to express themselves and be kind, ” wrote the student.  “She genuinely cares about every student.” With such high praise from hard-to-impress middle school students, it should be no surprise that Grant has been selected as the  school’s top teacher for 2024 and Union Middle’s representative in the District’s overall Teacher of the Year selection process.  “If I’m being honest, this teacher helped me excel in the arts and truly made me love theater,” said another student about Grant.  “She has built such a family in the different theater classes.”  For the honor, Grant received gifts and prizes sponsored by the Canyons Education Foundation.  A banner celebrating her selection will hang in the school.
