National Junior Honor Society

Students in NJHS maintain the highest standards in conduct and represent the five standards of sholarship, service, leadership, character and citizenship.  Membership is by application only and students must maintain a 3.5 grade point average.  

Service opportunities for NJHS members include: 5th grade orientation, Back to School Night, Red Ribbon Week and Kindness Week. 

Parent Teacher Student Association

The Parent Teacher Student Association is a partnership between parents, educators and students.  PTSA invites student involvement to support various school functions.  These functions include the Book Fair, Teacher Appreciation Week, and Spirit Days.  

There is no requirement for membership.  All students are invited to join. Members must conduct themselves according to Union’s Cat code.

UMS Student Ambassadors

The Student Ambassadors are a group of students who represent the school as positive and thoughtful good-will citizens. The ambassadors work with staff, students, and community members to promote school spirt, and to provide honest and thought information concerning issues affecting Union Middle School students. Responsibilities of Ambassadors include promoting respect for the school, planning and carrying out of activities to build school spirit, and attending of all leadership meetings and trainings.
